Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4
Today I’m
finally going to review my THE MOST loved car of all time, the Lamborghini
Aventador LP 700-4.It was launched in 2011 Geneva Motor Show.As all of the Lambos made by the
company, this one too has its name taken from a fighting bull. This tradition is
being carried on from years now.Aventador is the name of an award winning
fighting bull. The “LP” in the name stands for “Longitudinal position”,the 700
is for the horsepower and the 4 is for the 4 wheel drive. This was the name, now
lets talk about the exterior of the car.
The outside
of the car is just stunning. Most of its design is adapted from the company’s
most limited car yet,the Lamborghini Reventon, the car which is just limited to
20 units and some of the styling is also adapted from the company’s concept
car,the Lamborghini Estoque.Designed by Filippo Perini, the car looks like a
successor to the Lamborghini Murcielago, the car which was a predecessor to this
one for a decade. It sort of looks like a grown up and more advanced Murcielago.Lamborghini
says that the Aventador is 2 generations ahead of anything else on sale using
Formula 1 styling and suspension. The primary color for Autocar shows and demos
is kept orange and my god it looks spectacular in that color.I absolutely love
it!Its got scissor doors like the Murcielago and black color alloy wheels which
just goes perfect with every color.
Now moving
to the interior of the car.Its got the all digital speedometer which got LED
lights in it.It got Dual-tone leather interior to match with the color of the
car.The stitching on the seats and the dashboard is also done with the matching
color of the car which makes it look more spectacular. Its got
Sat-Nav,air-conditioning that works,a music system and all the other gadgets a
supercar is suppose to have these days.
Lets talk
about the technical specifications of the car.The car is assembled in the
company’s factory in Sant’ Agata Bolognese,Italy. The
body style of the car is a 2-door coupe and the engine is placed in the middle
of the car.The heart of the car i:e the engine is a 6.5 L V12,which produces
691 horsepower(rounded to 700 in the name),the most powerful engine ever
produced by Lamborghini.Today the use of V12 engines is going down as the
companies are trying to reduce the size of the engine and increase the fuel
efficiency of the cars, which in Lamborghini’s case is not adopted. This might be
the last V12 engine car.The V12 is the trump card and legendary engine of
Lamborghini which was started to be used from their car Miura. The Aventador has
a 7 speed single clutch gearbox with a flappy paddle gear style which is common
these days.Because of this flappy paddle gearbox, the gear shifts are achieved
in less than 50 milliseconds. The wheel base of the car is 2700 mm,the length of
the car is 4780 mm,the width is 2030 mm,the height is 1136 mm and the weight is
1575 kg.
The
technical specifications of the car are just as astonishing as the car is.The
displacement of the car is 6498 cc,the max power is 700 PS @8250 rpm,max torque
is 690 N-m @5500 rpm.The C02 emission of the car is just 398 g/km
which is very less for a car with a huge engine. The fuel consumption of the car
is 6 km/l or 17.2 l/100 km.The top speed of the car is 349.2 km/h which makes
it the fatest Lamborghini ever made.It also has ABS,EBD,Traction control and all the techs required in a supercar.
The ride of
the car is very smooth and comfortable in Strada mode which is for the normal roads, but as soon as you put it
in the Corsa mode,it just transforms itself into a beast who just wants to fly
low.The handling of the car is just biblical. It might be very huge but it turns
like a Volkswagen Golf. The Aventador doesn’t wants to kill you if you take an
improper turn.It is not wild and impractical as all the other Lamborghinis are
which I’m sorry to say is very disappointing for me.You need to be brave to
drive a Lamborghini, but to drive the Aventador, you just need to be rich which
makes me sad.So the price of this nimble madness, Rupees 3.69 crore only.
